Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-08-20T00:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-08-20T00:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Faint CME seen to the NW in all coronagraphs, but weakly in SOHO LASCO C3 as it fades. The source for this CME is uncertain, as the only observed source of field line movement starts around 2024-08-20T00:12Z in SDO AIA 193 over the NW limb, at the same time the CME is visible in SOHO LASCO C2, making it unlikely.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Triangulated measurement between SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO COR2A for a good far-sided fit despite the unclear source. This event becomes too faint and goes into the pylon in C3, giving no usable imagery. |
